changing tire

I have a 1997 jeep wrangler with a flat right rear. I have the lug nuts off and the car jacked up, but the tire won't budge. If anyone could let me know how to get it off I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Most likely the wheel has bonded to the drum due to rust (steel wheel) or corrosion (aluminum wheel).

To get it loose, make sure the Jeep is SECURELY SUPPORTED. Put 2 of the lugnuts on loosely - just a few threads - and then kick the whee out of the tire. It WILL loosen but it may take a few good shots. The lugnuts are on there only to keep the tire from falling completely off.

Again, make sure the Jeep is on steady jackstands before you try this because you'll be kicking it hard enough to knock it off of the jack.
