The Turkey Day- X-Mas Project

Gonna start building this one from Turkey Day to X-Mas. Here is a sneak peak at the inspiration

Sorry for the big pic, but its damn near worth it. Have not seen this car on the local roads yet, but hope to see it soon

Hopefully not in your rearview with lights flashing! That's very cool. That's a state trooper car? For Colorado? I wonder why they went with a Subaru instead of an american car. That's very strange for a police department, I've never seen that happen before. Does it have anything to do with mountains and snow perchance? Still, cool project!

Heres an actual reason for the car being like that:

It has some more pics in it. If the link does not work, let me know and I will post it for everyone(the details and such).

Yeah, you GB dwellers have some awesome police cars. Up in the mountain resorts, the local police use Land Rovers, Porsche 911's, and Hummers.

I think I am going to find a decal place here in town that can replicate those for me.

I heard Aspen is finally getting rid of their Saabs. too much $$ and I guess the ski seasons aren't as good as they used to be.

Chimneyville Decals has a good selection of police/emergency decals and lightbars you might be able to use.

Holy cow..Hummers Now there's an intimidating cop car! Mind you outrunning it probably wouldn't be too tricky on a clear road

I'll be interested to see how your project turns out...keep us posted

lol, automotive forums, best place evar!

anyway, we have some pretty cool cop cars in australia. HSV GTO (the current US GTO, just Aus Spec), WRXs (used to), Holden SS (both police issue and undercover) and the funniest thing is when you hear about stories of coppers cruising around in GT-R skylines. I think Japan uses R34 GT-R cop cars... hmm

Dang. That would be awesome to see some STI's patroling the highways. When you start builing this, you have to keep us posted. I can't wait to see it.

There is a CSP decal out. Came out from someone else... I've got one that I can scan... Its for the Caprice but the size may work.
That is scary!
PM me about the scan...

Yeah, I can't wait to get this started. Prolly gonna build it without the lightbar(or a detachable one at least).

Does the Fujimi STi kit have the BBS rims or the 5 spoke rims?

Why do you want a detachable light bar? I don't really understand, the decals are permanant, so I don't see why the light bar shouldn't be. And really, at least make it a detachable bar. I think the model would lose a lot of its coolness if it didn't have the lights on top at all. I mean, I don't want to tell you how to build it, but a police car without lights seems... incomplete?
