1987 Blazer Hard Starting and Running
My son has a 1987 K5 Blazer with a 5.7 TBI. He has had it for a few weeks with no problems or issues. He replaced the plugs and wires. Over the weekend he went out and it would not start. We have worked on it together to see if we can trouble shoot the problem.
The fuel pump was not turning on each time the key was turned and it did soud a little week. We replaced the fuel pump and in-line filter. When cranking there is fuel coming out of the injectors good. It starts and runs for a few seconds and stalls out. We start it again and it keeps stalling. Any ideas on what to look at next. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

More Testing
We continued to investigate this problem
Plenty of flow out of pump, replaced filter. Cracked line at back of manifold and fuel comes out Replaced the TPS, oil pressure switch, new spark plugs and wires Checked spark and there is plenty. What next? |
