SV vs VT

Hello guys,

I love Diablo...and I will buy one next spring

For now I'm interested to purchase a SVR! which look really agressive....wowwwww
But I'm just worried about driving the a 2wd on the highway when is raining!
I really need some input from howners...
Does it really hard to handle in the rain?
The VT does'it a lot saffer?

Thanks

Not sure where you are located, but the SV-R is not road legal. The Sv is not a problem in the rain, although you never want to drive any Diablo in the rain.

Re: SV vs VT

Allans right, rain bad, dry good.
When rain falls, car wet, sun open, rain dry, rain leave marks, one must clean, one risk scratch, one angry, one is fool.

I'm located in Switzerland and I dont know if you know guys about Affolter...

The Affolter's Garage is the official Lamborghini importer for the Swiss area. And it's also the garage which sell the more Lambo in the world!!!

Ok, whatever....

But the oder day when I went there, I saw a SV really agressive, stunning! and when a asked to know more about it they told me it was originaly a SV-R which was converted into a street version!
so they drop the R and on the rear you only can see SV.
It's got more HP than the SV and it's lighter too

allanlambo:
I know you got a beautiful SV and as a said I'm located in an area which time by time it rains...
And I know some firends who got Ferarris and they told me that when they are on the highway and it's raining they have to drive not more than 60mph!!!
It is the same with your SV???

Re: SV vs VT

No the Sv is suprisingly good in the rain, although i dont drive it often. All sportscars are bad in the rain though. Has to do with the tires being low profile and wide. They hydroplane. Doesnt matter if its a Lambo or a Porsche.

Re: SV vs VT

One thing id love to know is if you could find out any info from Affolter as to their Diablo mods, and if the are going to mod, or are modding the Murcielago with things like wings.

Re: SV vs VT

Having extensively driven the SV and the VT, I the main thing that I noticed is that the SV just feels faster. It is hard to describe, but it just does. As far as the rain, you can drive it in the rain, just be careful since it has huge rear tires. The car will not melt in the rain, just most people do not want to take the chance of trying. Also, the SVR is NOT street legal, yet I participated in the One Lap of America this past year and there was an SVR entered and he ran in a downpour at Road America, and at several other points in the 4,000 mile journey. No big deal. Go for it!
