Z8 Windshield problems

I've had 8 windshields in 17 years of driving. 7 Windshields have been in my Z8. I'm about to have the 8th fitted due to a tiny stone chip. It seems to me a little strange to have so many problems with just one car.
Has anyone else had similar problems? It's a costly and inconvenient problem and I wasn't driving it as fast as the "other" car which needed a windshield so I wonder if there is a design problem.
Most windshields split during their installation, two did so within a week of the car being returned to me.
