Go with a Civic SI , not LX or EX, and start from there. Tell your parents to get you that gift instead> if not tell them you will molest the house cat. )

LX civic does not have much potential for a race car. You need a better engine to start off with. So either get an Si or do an engine swap after you get this LX. wait is the LX a 4-door? cuz if it is that will just add more wait which you dont want, plus coupes look much better in my mind.
What do you want this car for anyways? Like what is your goal? a full out race car/drag car? Also what do you have for money to work with(as far as modifications). Cuz if you got a lot to work with a RSX-s engine swap in that little civic would be real nice

Dont listen to this guy he obviously doesnt know much about racing. But he does seem to know about 4-door hondas and bodykits . When I go to the drags I dont know how many civics I see up there running 12s some of them. When I turn on speedvisison and touring car races are on I see plenty of civics and other hondas. You can turn ANY car into a race car with the right amount of $money$.
