How Difficult is the Wiring and Cruise for Swap??

Gotta replace my F22B1 on my 95 Accord EX. Have found a few fairly cheap (and local) H22As and am now thinking it might be worth the extra $1000 to upgrade the torque (don't really care about the HP -- 0 to 60 mph in 8 secs is enough for me), since I tow on occasion.

So, how difficult is the wiring harness stuff when it has been cut? How many hours would it take the avg guy to work out?

Also, how tough is it to get the cruise control to work properly? I have read things that say it's not that easy.

Thanks!

From starting to remove the old engine to startup with the new engine, can anyone estimate the # of hours?

thas really hard to tell man. you can do it in a day or two with the proper help unless you run into complications like broken bolts, cut wires, etc. without the proper equipment, i wouldnt try to attempt it myself if that is what you are thinking of doing. About the cruise control, are you installing it on a car that doesnt have it? I dont think i would atempt this... just too many parts, especially if you are not sure of what you are doing. It usually consists of a speed sensor, a brake pedal and clutch pedal(if equipped) cancel switch, the controls for the steerng wheel, the on button that goes in the dash switch panel, and a servo motor that controls the throttle. it can be really complicated. i tried this on my integra rs and jsut kinda said to heck with is because of all of the modifications. you can, however have aftermarket installed for a couople hundred bucks and is worth it.

Seriously consider the link in my signature, check out the 94-97 Accord CD-ROM, we have written a really "complete" guide to the H22 swap, and it's just one of the many great articles on the CD. Sorry for the shameless self promotion. Good luck in your endevors.

Thanks for suggesting the link. I actually took a look at it earlier, when I was looking through other threads. I think $20 is too much for what I need though. Really, the only thing I need is wiring harness help, and the charts are in the manuals.

Thanks though.
