Crank pulley prob?

ok problem started yesterday its very cold here just started yesterday it's been warmer until about yesterday.... so i start my car up and it runs like crap it was running fine before so when i come home park it goto sleep and all go out today drive it around still runs like shyt and then the crank pulley starts squeeking and the car will not idle and will die

i actually dont know if its soemthing to do with the timing belt or the crank pulley but something in that area is making a squeeking noise and the car barely runs, ive never had anything like this happen or heard of it happen

i have a feeling jackasssi will reply with a usefull answer like he always does but anyone elses input will be appreciated

The only thing I can think of that would go wrong with the crank pulley would be either something happened to the bolt, or the key for the pulley.

In my opinion, it sounds like the alternator belt. They once in a while come lose and create a nasty sqealing noise. The car may be running like shit because the belt might not be turning the alternator pulley which will keep the battery from charging. A couple questions... When the car dies, do the headlights and dash lights get dim before it dies? Is it hard to start/ does it take a long time to start? But anyways, go out and check if its loose and tighten it if its needed.

i figured it out, the loud squeeling stoped and revealed a knocking in the head and its the 2nd set of vavles from left to right up top so im going to adjust them and hopefully it will stop that
