Good starter car........

Alright I need some help with purchasing my first car, im 16 so money is limited because im paying for the car myself.....My mom has already told me she can take out a loan for under 5k and I will have to pay it off for 2-3 years so I need something dependable. I really want something fast that looks decent and obviously on such a tight budget its hard, can someone please give me some suggestions, I would like a car thats manuel and would be cheap to fix up and decently fast or a extended cab truck to put bags on eventually..... thanks in advance.....btw I am looking for something newer so its more dependable ive already looked at older 240's and 300zx and there arent any near me with decent miles or in good condition........
