Do you have to have a Airbag if you want to get you car to past inspection
I live in MASS and I have a salvaged 95 240sx missing a airbag but the car had it removed because of theft so there is no damage to the area any ways if I want to get it to pass a state inpection Do I need a airbag in the steering wheel or can I get a nice new racing wheel also passengers is missing but thats a internal thing right.

no just take them both out, you dont need them.
one of my cousins actually got badly injured when another car hit him, but it was due to a faulty airbag (not the car that hit him). he refuses to have airbags in any car he has now.

the question is do i need these airbags to pass state safty inspection that i can change the title from salvage to repaired salvage please I need help I am a student and money don't come easy but if needed I will go with out food I could stand to lose some weight thanks for your collective wisdom

air bags wieght a pound thats extra wieght you dont need it better yet get a civic the inspector will be so impressed he will pass you with a smile

The air bag really wont help to much if you get hit...I would just get 4 point belts and be done with it.

alright for the second time to clarify the the question for "the car" to past inspection (the acton taken by a state trooper to deem your car road worthy) do I need them in the car when he inpects the car.... Not do I need them,,,,, but will I need them for Inspection(read my crappy but easy enough explaination of inspection above.)
