cd player error code (1-err)

Hi everyone,
I just lost the use of my panasonic CD player (6 disc mounted in the trunk).
The radio and cassette still work fine, however when I hit the CD button the error code 1 - err appears. To make it worse I just got a bunch of CD's which are now stuck in the player.
Has anyone ever encountered this problem or could someone point me in the right direction.
Any replys would be greatly appreciated.

i am having the same problem, i just bought the car to find that the cd changer does this

i had the same thing go on with mine , but i could always get my CD s out wuth the 6 pack cartridge. eject worked on the changer. i tried the easiest thing first, canned air like for a comp. keyboard with the nozzle straw and pretty much just hosed the thing out. the laser must have had dust on it dont turn the can side ways or upside down or frost and moisture shoot out of the can. i guess this will only work if you can get the changer open though if you cant get it open check the connections. the1 inthe trunk is easy to get to.

Your lasers got disalined on the changer thats why it gives you that message....its just not worth it to fix....get a new one...
