But then nothing. I have cleaned the battery cables and nothing. My guess is that its the starter....... Can I replace this myself? Come on help out a girl, please! thanks |

Re: Please help guys :) won't start
Try hooking up a new battery. Your battery might not have adequate voltage.or just have someone jumpstart it for you.
Do that before getting a starter. Try going to www.nissanforums.com |

Look around the clutch safety switch (manual trans)
-------------------------------------------------- So yes, I ended up checking all the fuses, battery, I heard the clicking noise when I'd put the key on the ignition or whatever, and then unfortunately, I went through the hassle of removing my starter. I took it to the auto parts store and they tested it. It worked just fine. And then I was wodering, oh jeez, I hope my car doesn't have a huge electrical problem or something. But it happened by accident, when I was checking the fuses by the lower right of the dash, I saw my clutch pedal and behind it there was a switch. Eventually i found out this was the "clutch safety swich." So then like I noticed the thing that would depress that from the clutch had broken off, and then i saw that little rubber button on the carpet on the floor, and then i started laughing at myself hysterically. I plugged it back in and wrapped some tape around it to make sure it wouldn't come loose again. The idea is, always think about the easiest junk first, but well this is my first car and I didn't know better. |
