new emblem

Kia is coming out with a new emblem starting for 2002 models in which it will be a lot similar to the BMW one..... KIA will be on top and Motors on bottom in blue with a black background

I have a 2001 Kia Rio, and the emblem right now it a like ford's but without the blue background and Kia instead of Ford.

I think the new emblem would be a terrible idea.

I think its a bad idea to redesign in emblem. Shows that it was poorly designed in the first place... In my personal opninion

Actually,

For the price I bought my car, with an automatic transmission, and air conditioning plus a load of other extras for under $12,000.00 the car isn't bad.

I will say this, it is loud, but the speakers drown out the noise.

Plus, the 10-year warranty doesn't worry me. If it was poorly built, I will get it fixed for free.

I wasnt talking about the car itself. I was commenting on how redesigning something so significant as your emblem was a sign of poor planning and design. Just kinda think its a bad idea.

Until fairly recently, Kias carried the Ford blue oval. The company is still looking for its place in the world market, where do they fit in with the other brands. Doing a good job these days, better cars but still well below average in design and performance. They will improve with time, if they can survive the current downturn in auto sales. Daewoo will likely fail soon and Kia can jump into their place. The new big Kia is much better looking than the Hyundai it is based on. I'm not yet inclined to own one as their safety record is still below my acceptable standards.

I personally have a 2002 Kia Spectra.. and the myth about the "New Emblem" is not true, however you can buy one of these emblems from sharkracing.com. these emblems are the ones that come on the Korean versions of our cars.. I have personally purchased one and it does look better than the ones that come on the American versions of our cars..Just my 2 cents..

Infact it is only outside Asia that the 'oval' emblem is used. In Asia a more distinctive logo is used. The 'oval' variant is only to create a more upmarket and westernised look.

I personally prefer the Aisan one...
