Exclamation Got a ride in a state police car

I had to take a photo today for the newspaper on speed enforcement.

The main shot was taken from the passenger seat of the cruiser looking over the troopers shoulder while he was using the radar on traffic on I176.

The seconary art was of him talking to the owner of the new body-style silver Eclipse he pulled over for 82 in a 65

Sounds like a fun ride along. At least your troopers use white cars, around here they're dark blue so at night you can't see them until they are right on your ass.

I hate when some old person in a dark crown vic gets behind me at night and forces me to do the speed limit. Than you got the guys who put crash bars and cb antenna's on theirs just to get you to move out of their way on the highway.

that is genuine thinking though. it makes you wonder how many times they have gotten out of a ticket
its getting to where the police dont look like the police but everyone else does.
some of the county sheriffs here use impalas, intrepids, and some warrant divisions use cavaliers!! can you imagine what would happen to your ego after being hauled in in the back seat of a cavalier after getting picked up on a warrant?

Well the state troopers would know that it isn't one of theirs because the troopers cars have a badge/sign on the back that says "highway patrol" its attached near the bumper. I've seen some impala's and camaro's and I heard they were thinking of taking the idea from california and going with PT cruisers, now that's embarassing.

Re: Got a ride in a state police car

i havent ridden in one yet.. but i do 80-85mph in the 55mph zone on I-85 down here in Georgia. you just gotta get in the fast lane and keep your eyes open. (hitting cars doesnt count for points on the highway... )
