Okay lets see if I do not confuse you.
I won't place them here in case they are copyrighted or not, but just follow my instructions and you should be okay.
It would be great if you had the Electrical Troubleshooting manual for its on pg SD-102 in the 2003 manual and on page SD-106 of the 2002 manual. Regardless you can see the diagrams online at the Hyundai Webtech site

1-Select on the top of the page ETM (Electrical Troubleshooting manual)
2-Select Santa Fe for model
3-Select Year of your vehicle
4-Select Engine type (this really does not matter in this case)
5-In the left pane you will expand the Body Electrical System.
6-Scroll down and expand the Electronic Time & Alarm Control System.
7-Click on the ETACS
The right pane window will show you the diagram
You will notice that it shows the Chime Bell is attached to the 0.3 Br(Brown)wire and the 0.3 O (Orange Wire)
8-All you need to do is disconnect / cut the Brown wire and attach it to the Orange wire.

Now for the location of the chime bell its located on the left side foot rest in the drivers section near the left front lower door pillar.

If you go back up to the left pane of the online site and scroll up to the first item named General, click on it to expand.
Click on the second General listing. You will now get a list of items. Scroll down to the 2.7L Component Location and the right side pane will show you the location of the chime bell.

Good luck.

Its basically the same thing, the only difference is that on my Santa Fe I could not disconnect the chime for some strange reason, so I cut the wire and closed the loop. But disconnecting it would do it.

Sorry for the confusing.

TS out.

JCWhitney sells a chime that plays "Love me tender" by Elvis when you turn on the turn signals.

I'm not joking

Thats funny, its just like the ice cream truck that passes through the neighborhood. Its cute to hear at first, but becomes annoying in no time flat. maybe I'll get it to annoy my other half.
