Tip: Green a/c console lights

If any of you want to make your a/c lights blue/green its free! All you gotta do is beat up your cigarette lighter and ashtray lights and steal their "bulb condoms" and swap them on to the 2 bulbs that light up your a/c controls. They all share the same bulb size so it fits perfect. I did it so the lights can match my indiglo gauges and pioneer cd player, it looks good!

Here is pic of how it looks like(sorry kinda crappy)

As far as that goes, I am sure you could find different colored light condoms from either clusters from other wrecked cars or maybe even radio shack. I am not sure of the bulb size, but i know those cheapie auto-zone stobes have all different color condoms with them, you might be able to cut those shorter and use them. If they are to big, you might even try shrinking them up a little with a heat gun. I would try this off of the bulb first though.

peace
Griff

Re: Tip: Green a/c console lights

replace the bulbs and they should work fine. mine used to do that, i could hit the face of the heater controls and make the light work but after a while that didnt even work anymore, so i ended up pulling it appart and changing the bulbs.
