DX automatic

Friends keep telling me to take out my automatic and put in a stick. The problem is that my car has 300k. I don't want to touch my engine since it been good to me for past 9 years. I think it will last me for another 300k.

Unless you're all about performance than don't do it. If you'd just be swapping the tranny it's a waste of time and money. If you're swapping the motor and tranny then yes, it's a good idea but I take it that since you've actually put that much miles on it before even thinking performance, I say leave it as is.
