coolant bubbling in reservoir tank??

Im a little wooried about my neon. The coolant has been bubbling in the reservoir tank; I hear it when I cut the engine. I did my headgasket at about 185,000k...im now at 204,000k...the cars running fine, and the temp guage doesnt indicate any overheating, fans kick on no problem too....I dont know...any ideas anyone? Thanks

Some bubbling is normal if you have just pushed your car (redline at each shift). I would not be worried unless it does it everytime you drive no matter how you drive it.

Mine bubbles a lot but it overheats at the same time. I've had to drive around with my heat on full blast for a few weeks now, so it doesn't overheat.

I made a point to listen for the bubbling today, and no bubbles....weird... this was after I had a race with a dude in a cavalier too (smoked 'em). So I guess its not doing any harm....I heard that bubbling is a tell tale sign of a blown head gasket, is this true??

Re: coolant bubbling in reservoir tank??

I wouldn't worry about the bubbling. It's just a weak rad cap. Replace it if it makes you feel better.
