Re: Heated drivers seat stopped working 2001 Jetta

Most of the time this is caused by a broken circuit in the seat bottom heated seat circuit. you havve to unplug the heated seat from under the seat and run a resistance test. If there is an open circuit, you need to replace the heat element, if it is not open, usually the switch is bad.

take out the switch for the passenger seat and and plug it into the driver side harness.. if the seat doesnt get hot you need to replace the heater pad.
there is a recall out for your car for driver side seat heater. if the pad is burned you get it replaced for free.. along with the recall

Re: Heated drivers seat stopped working 2001 Jetta

Where did you find out about the recall on the seats? I can not find anything anywhere and my driver seat is toast (no pun intended).

Thanks
