how do i remove my alt belt

i need to chage my alternator belt and i need to remove it to go buy another one how do i remove it ? what pulley do i need to loosen ?

To the rescue...! Sorry, couldn't resist

Removing the alternator belt is easy. Just loosen the top bolt (the one that bolts through the top alternator bracket - just below your intake manifold). Once that bolt is loose you can pull the alternator forward enough that the belt will come right off.

You don't have to remove or loosen the bottom bolt. The alternator will pivot back & forth with just the top bolt loose.
