1993 honda civic cx good or bad
i found a 1993 civic cx with 154k miles on it is $1900 good for a price it looks pretty clean. plus mainly i would just get it for racing since i would drive my gsr daily. what kind of weight does a cx weigh and are they good for racing like empty it out and put a turbo ls with nitrous and just tweak the car to hit 12's if its not a good deal then i will probably save for my crx that i want thanks for the info

Re: 1993 honda civic cx good or bad
I personaly would go for crx because it is the lighter of the two. But the cx's are the lightest model for those years. So it is all up to you.

you have a gsr and you want to make a civic cx fast? lol
I have this ferrari that I use for a daily driver, but I want a race car so I think I'm gonna pimp out my old ford pinto.

Whatever you do to the Civic, doing the same to the CRX would make it faster.

I do not think 90LShatch came here to be judged... I say go for the CX if that is what you want to do! |

Ever thought about making your gsr the race car and the civic your daily driver? If you spend the same amount on the gsr it would be MUCH faster than what you could do to the civic. Just a thought....

I see CRX's in car lots here and there for $500 in somewhat descent condition.. just sorta guesstimated.

Seriously? Man, around here they go for $2000+. They're prettty rare, though, so maybe that's part of it.

Re: 1993 honda civic cx good or bad
Maybe every one I've seen has had major internal damage or something then. If I could go back to when I bought my car I'd definitly consider a cheap little rex and do a huge engine project. They're so light and quick. There was a crx at the autocross a couple months ago tearing up the track with it's stock engine (modded, but still only had 130whp) and slicks all the way around.

Re: Re: Re: 1993 honda civic cx good or bad
True, but for the price of a let's say $1500 rex, roughly $3k in body work, $3k for an engine and $4k for a turbo/buncha mods, $2500 for wheels/suspension, the price is about par with a new Civic DX, but could easily walk all over almost anything on the road, autocross, and 1/4. Sounds like a good investment to me for an enthusiast, especially one with a second car and money to spend.
