1967 Chevrolet Corvette L-88

wassup,

I was wondering exactly how fast does the 1967 Chevrolet Corvette L-88 go and if u have any pics that would be great!

L-88 was a 12 to 1 compression race engine, over 500 hp on 100+ octane fuel. The car ran 12 second 1/4 miles if you could keep from smoking the tires, which was hard so you'd end up running a 13 flat.
Same with Hemi 'Cudas. Top speed was always redline limited, because all you had was 4 speed, 4th is 1 to 1 ratio so 7000 rpm with a mid 3.??
gear ratio would probably top out around 130 mph. '67 vette did not produce down force at 120 mph, the front end actually began to lift a few inches...this is highly undesirable unless you want to die....bias ply tires weren't too safe at high speeds either. If you must go fast drive something newer.
