whats wrongw/ the b18c1 in there?
y don'y u just use the money that you'd throw into a swap for mods instead example: high or low compression pistons depending on where you want to go w/ it, cams, cam gears etc....
thats what i would do you already have a pretty good engine

My engine has 122,000 miles and before i plane on putting a rev hard stage 2 turbo i thought i should change the engine because of the high miles on the original one. Could this many miles be a reliability problem?

Re: Best engine swap?

It's a Honda engine, 122k is comparable to like 40k on a Dodge
Get some low compression pistons if you're worried about reliability that much, and turbo the hell out of your c1.

Depending on how the car was driven, (i.e. Little Old Lady or Constantly Redlining) you may want to perform a mild rebuild. New piston rings, head gasket and valve train pieces. Also, the fuel system needs to be refurbished with new fuel lines, fuel filter, and fuel pump. The fuel injectors should be bench tested for flow or just replaced with new, higher flowing injectors. The cooling system will also need refurbishment with a new radiator, hoses and waterpump. At 122,000 miles, the cooling system will have signs of calcification.
Start at 5 p.s.i. and make sure everything is working properly before adding more boost. If you don't perform the rebuild, you may damage the reciprocating components because of excessive heat or detonation, which will end up costing you more money.

Good Luck.
