2000 Camry Questions?
Hello all,
I have a 2000 Camry CE with 110,000 miles. 1.) How often should the brakes be changed. 2.) My gas pedal sticks sometimes when I am driving in cold temperatures. How can I fix this and is it common? Thanks!!! |

Re: 2000 Camry Questions?
if the brakes haven't been changed since the car has been purchased, you should take the front tire off and look through the service hole and see how much lining is left on the pads, also if you hear a small screeching sound when pressure is applied to the brake pedal, you know that the lining on the pads has worn thin, and they need to be replaced as soon as possible. As for your accelerator problem, it has been found to be a common problem, and mainly because of either gunk build up in the throttle body, or the throttle cable is sticking in the cruise control module...you need to take both of those apart and inspect them as soon as possible.

97 camry stuck accelerator
Hi.
The accelerator sticks on my 97 camry too. This problem has surface since early fall. Don't know if the 'cooler' temperature is the cause of the problem. I experience it a lot when I get out of cruise, come to a halt and then try to accelerator. Meet a lot of resistance sometimes. Don't see any mechanical obstacles by the pedal. Any thoughts?? |

pads
I have a 2000 toyota camry. I changed the front brake pads on it at 30k. Then changed the front and rear at 60k. I choose ceramic brake pads. I hope they last a long time.
