New Format for 240SX Forums?

f there really is genuine interest in a sub-sectioned board, as Dorikin suggested, then i will put in an inquiry. something like:

-Main Area for general chit chat amongst members about 240SX, also for general questions
-Engine Swaps obvious
-body mods
-FAQ again, obvious, but only mods could post here so that nothing stupid is added and it's just a place to learn
-Members Rides discuss your car and what you've done to it, what you use it for, etc.
-240SX motorsports discuss your latest drift competition, SCCA round, best ET, etc.
-classifieds

any others?

Any ideas guys?

I propse we model anything after the Skyline forums

Multiple sections for SPECIFIC issues(see above) and have multiple moderators who are experts in that area.

I want your input, so we can take this to Iggy and make this happen!

modeling after the skyline forum is a perfect idea. but keep us posted along the way, or let us see a final draft of whats to be so we can all give input.

id say change the sections to something more technical like

-main
-engine
-suspension
-Body/Chassis
-FAQ

i think it would be pretty friggen sweet if we could get it to happen. it would definatly get some more members if the 240 section becomes bigger like more of the 240/Siliva specific boards

I think we should merge the Silvia and 240SX forums...really, most of the topics cross-over enough that it makes sense.

PLEASE let me be the one to take this to Igor. not that i'm not confident of any of your capabilities, but i have access to the moderator forum, where i am about to make a post regarding this to grab Iggy's attention. so i'll do all the talking in there and keep you guys posted.

everything you had listed sounded good to me except we should limit the riegonal section to just a couple.

Newbie Forum (obvious)

240 General Chat (anything off topic)

Engine Swaps (obvious)

Tech Talk (anything about suspension, body kits, sound, the motors themselves, anything non-swapping related)

240 Racing (drag, street, autoX, drifting, w/e)

And add the Silvia forum to the list!

And maybe some regional forums too.

Im glad to see this is taking off. Lets finalize the layout of this shit.

Are we gonna need more moderators? I dont like to toot my own horn, and I havent had the greatest record, but Id like to help out running this place.

Regardless, we need to get on track and finalize the sub-forums. Maybe another poll?

whatever you do I obviously support it 100%, I haven't been here long enough to have a good say in the way things work, but I think it would be cool... and hell if it doesnt work out.. you can always go back to the way things were right?

another thing perhaps would be to have a private access sub-forum where only people who have met a mod, or are close friends to someone who have met a mod have access... in this sub-forum we could discuss freely things such as race/drift locations... and other things you wouldnt want prying eyes to see... be it little punks in moms minivan or police...

ok, as i said in the other thread, don't worry about the moderator situation. us (the administration) will figure this out ourselves. i have started a thread in the moderators forum regarding this topic, and have so far received alot of positive responses. we've nearly decided on a suitable lay-out, which i'll post up here ASAP. btw, i think it would be a good idea to cut the newbie forum as it's just another step in the "screw you newbies" attitude in here. we want to make them feel welcome, not herd them like sheep.
