Monte SS or SRT-4??

Ok I currently own a 02 Monte Carlo SS and I like it very much. Was checkn out the new neon SRT-4 and they look pretty badass. A friend claims that the Neon can whoop a Mustang GT as well. Well Im thinking of trading in the SS for the SRT-4 and just wanted to see what you guys thought? Would it be worth it?

If you're willing to take the hit from trading in a new car it's worth it, the SRT4 is definately a better car.

I dunno bout whooping a Mustang GT though...

It's a driver's race between the SRT-4 and GT. Both are high 13s easily. Some '04 SRT-4s are dynoing at 240whp!!

i was reading this forum and i can tell you, it is not a choice of speed. the neon is really fast and so is the new supercharged 04 monte ss. i work at kelley chevrolet and i drove the supercharged ss and that sucker is fast!! when it comes down to it, its what you would rather be caught seen in. how often do you hope on meeting a car at a red-light so you can get it on? regardless there are better cars out there than these two. like mine. lol

i own one and i think it could but the damn gov'nr kicks in at like 180K/ph (sry im canadian) soo thats a piss off(sry bout the lingo)eh?

well i know at least 5 or 6 GTs that could tell you otherwise...im sure they dont like it but thats just how it is

Yeah, the SRT-4's faster than both of them. C&D tested the 04 recently and got a 0-60 in 5.3 and 1/4 time of 13.9 @ 103mph. The new Monte S/C'd definetely can't hang with that. The GT can't either. Well, the current generation GT can't...the new 05's will be able to top that. An Auto GT will run 60 in about 6-6.3 seconds, and the quarter in about 15 flat. With the Manual you can probably knock 3/4 of a second off of both times, but it's still not enough to take the SRT-4.

we just went to the track last friday and it was our first time( so my hubby was REALLY nervous)once he got the hang of it he was running mid 13s all night!i was so proud! lol
