Jaguar XJ220 finally Completed! *PICS*

This is the AMT/ERTL kit. I thought I would never get this thing done. I painted the first coat on when when I was in 9th grade, and left it alone. I started working on it again this summer after graduation, and I finished painting the body and all of the parts. I had to wait about five months to get my wheels from HLJ due to a shipping problem, and then I forgot to bring the clear pieces with me when I went to college. I finally got my pieces last week, and I got everything done a couple of days ago.
Anyway, the model is painted Testors black blue pearl. The wheels are Fujimi 18" BBS RG, and are painted the same color. Although the front wheels stick out a bit, the steering doesn't move completely, and two of the wheels don't roll, I'm still proud of this one, lol. I think this is my best paint job so far. I noticed that I had a lot more patience when working on this one. This would have to be my dream German car. I plan to build the Tamiya version in the exact same color and use the same wheels, and see how it comes out. Oh yeah, I wanted to point out that I didn't use primer when painting the body.

Thiere are a couple rough edges on the glass. I couldn't really do too much about it. Crappy AMT models.

I posted these engine pics a while ago.

I'd take an XJ220 over an expensive ass, 7k usd brake job, 750 usd oil change enzo any day.

That looks very nice. Great work man. I like how you did the rims and the engine to match the car. Good job.

An XJ220 is worth quite a bit more than a couple of Enzo's

Very nice models, but Revell quality and accuracy SUCKS! The air inlets and the intercoolers are way wrong, the intercooler is supposed to be flush with the bpody opening and the bigger than the inlet. The rear duckting is way off too, if you look at the pictures of the real car you can see that the rear mesh covers the tail lights, not just between the tail lights.

Tamiya is a much MUCH more accurate model.

BTW Your front parking lights are missing Very nice model otherwise, I love the real one!

Uh, why is it that people think the AMT-Ertl company is part of Revell-Monogram, when it's not?!

Thanks for the compiments, everyone. Although I like the looks of the XJ220 more, I'd probably have to take the Enzo over it because of superior performance, but I've seen an XJ220 going for $750,000 in Dupont magazine. The Enzo costs $650,000 so I guess XJ220s are pretty valuable. But it was upgraded to 700hp, I believe.
