Late shifting ZJ when cold

I have a 98 ZJ that shifts late from 2nd to third and only when it's cold,
the rest of the shifts do fine. After a mile or two it shifts ok, not great but ok. It's been doing this for over a year. I changed the fluid & filter a couple times in it's 121,000 miles, this last time with +4 .Oh it's got the more common tranny.
Thanks, Mark

I just had the transmission fluid and filter changed yesterday on my 98 ZJ for the exact same reason. It just started doing this about a month ago, just turning the 100000 km or 60000 miles. it didnt seem to make a diferrence today!
Anybody else?

Re: Late shifting ZJ when cold

I have a 97 zj 5.2l. I live in northern WI so I do a lot of cold weather driving, and the same thing happened to me. BUT Just 6 weeks ago I was driving home one night and the tranny hit second gear, and croked! that was it. no warning except that cold weather crap you were talking about. 2000$ later she is fine.
