ctr cams in 99 gsr

following the i/h/e in my 99gsr, i plan to get ctr cams..can anyone tell me if id need to change my valve springs and retainers along with the valve train or would it be fine on all stock..with this upgrade would it be reliable or would my engine have problems..would i go intake cams or exhaust cams to get more power? from what i heard, all stock valvetrain and springs and retainer is fine as long as i dont go pass 8500rpm and ill be fine..any help?

what you've heard is correct!
you DO NOT NEED to upgrade valvesprings/retainers as long as
you RETAIN your stock redline!!

and yes... if you are on a budget... you can get away with sticking in just the intake cam....
but it's best to do both!!!
