Power window conversion
Hello all... I just got a 98 camero...and I LOVE it.... have not had a camero since the '80s. One of the things I am not very happy with is the fact that it has manual windows. I would be interested to know if anyone has added power windows to one of this year. If so, how hard would it be? Also, what all parts would I need for it? I am in Okc, so there are several salvage yards here that I should be able to get the window motors out of, but other than the motors, the switches and the door skins... will I need anything else?
Thanks |

Patience, luck, and a lot of bandaids.
Oh yeah, and the window, and the entire inside mechanism I believe. It's not as simple as just a motor instead of a handle. |

That what I was afraid of.... so the cut of the window glass at the bottom is diffrent on power windows?

Did it on my '95 Caprice. Not sure about the glass, but you'll need both motors, reg's, a harness, switches and door panels. Aftermarket kit like these http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...t=power+window might be a btter route.
