New Here

Hi, I'm new here but you might have seen me at a few other forums, albeit with a different username. For instance, I'm on the drifting.com forums as ClubOppLockFC3S, and Car Forums as JDM Enthusiast. As you can probably tell, I'm into drifting. I don't have a car at the moment, considering I'm 14 (I'm not going to lie and say I'm older), but I've thought about a few, and right now I'm leaning towards an S14 240SX. In case you're wondering about the E36 M3 it says I have in my profile, well, that's my dad's, and it's completely stock. My brother has an E30 325i 2-Door 5-Speed with a CAI, Z3 SSK and a Jim Conforti re-chip, along with a lot of weight reduction(weighs about 2650-2700lbs right now with about 180bhp, so it's pretty quick).
One more thing: Don't dismiss me as a reliable source of information because of my age. I've liked cars for the larger part of my life and soak up as many numbers and specifications as I can.

Welcome. A 240SX would be a pretty good car for a new driver. Hope you can get it in a couple years

Yeah, the Zenki S14 can look very nice, and I think the overall style of it is already pretty JDM, even more so than the Kouki(at least in my opinion). And if I do get it, I gotta do a swap because I don't think the KA24DE is well suited to the S14, from what I've heard. I'd like to do a CA18 swap, but I've never heard of that on an S14, plus the CA18 can have problems that the SR20 wouldn't have.

Oh, and to anyone who knows about BMW's, my brother's 325i will(fairly soon) have either A) An M44 swap, T3 turbo, side mount intercooler, maybe from a DSM, or B) Leave the M20, turbo that, but only run 7-9psi of boost...either way his goal is 250rwhp, and that goal is feasible with either setup. The weight should be under 2700lbs w/driver and cage with the M20, less with the M44.
