Scan Tool for 95 XLT
Hi All,
My check engine light cam on last night after a 4 hour trip at highway speeds. It stayed on until I got home. This morning, it did not come on. I went to AutoZone and they said it needed to be on for them to check the codes. My questions are: 1) I think this has an OBD-2 interface but don't know how to tell if it is or not. How can I tell? 2) How can I tell what the light was on for? I need my vehicle to travel on this trip 2 times a week and don't want to risk a break down or a repair in the middle of winter in my driveway. Just trying to stay ahead of this potential problem. Thanks. |

Re: Scan Tool for 95 XLT
An OBD-2 connector will be on the drivers side under the dash kinda where your knees are. The older Ford types are under the hood. You might have to wait till the light comes on again and go back to Auto Zone while it's on and leave it running when you go in.

Thanks,
I see one under the dash centered on the steering column. From what I understand, it looks like an OBD-2. |
