Question 98 Buik Regal Odometer Problems

I put a remote starter and keyless entry and security systems in my 1998 Buick Regal, and everything works great on it unit i put it. The only problem is that my digital odometer jumped from around 108,000 miles to 380,000 miles which is very strange. Is there some chip i may have accidently altered??? I dont know what to do!!! What are some possible options for fixing this??? Please reply as soon as possible.

Only way to fix your odometer is to have the cluster removed sent out and repaired. You will need some paperwork on the mileage because it would be illegal to do it without a notary or something to that affect. You have a chip inside the cluster that keeps track of the mileage.

I've done thousands of remote starts and never heard of what you explain. Unless you started probing and connecting wires behind the cluster, I would also bet your cluster is going bad. Try M&R Electronics. They can repair many things.
