That is one fine looking van you've got there Andy, though I don't particularly care for the wheel choice. You need to scratchbuild a waterbed and a disco ball for that thing's interior.

The Catalina also looks great. That actually seems to be a factory color you're using on it. Again, not my style of ride (I prefer the Super Stock look of the 421SD) but it looks great.

I know ! - I just fancied a change and it's been sat around in primer for ages
It'll have to sit a bit longer cause I used colors by Boyd grape pearl - might have dried by Christmas

Yeah, that stuff just doesn't want to dry. I personally hate it. Tamiya paints are so much better.

That 64 Impala is smokin, very nice color choice. I can not wait to see it finished, are you going to keep it low or raise it?

Re: A mixture of in progress projects

IMHO, I love that 6-fo! The car caught my eye, maybe because it's on the ground in the back, or because it's blue, or both.

Sho nuf - I won the best paint prize at a model show in the UK about 5 years ago and guess what the prize was - 18 cans of colors by boyd paint ! - there's some nice colours but I hate how long it takes to dry plus I've had some problems with automotive acrylic clear reacting over time (haven't got any boyds/testors clear and as far as I know not easy to get hold of over here. We'll see what happens - anybody tried Tamiya clear over Boyds ?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: A mixture of in progress projects

My only real problem with tamiya paints, (since I hardly use my airbrush) is how expensive the rattle cans are at my LHS; $5.99 usd.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: A mixture of in progress projects

Boyd's has some cool colors and all, but the time I tried it, it was so runny and just a pain. Maybe I'll give it a shot when I'm a little more older and skilled.
