looking for the ultimate sleeper

Well, first off, I figured I'd ask you Mitsubishi guys for some insight on this, because I'd like to swap a 4g63t into an unsuspected car. I was thinking about an Elantra, (Hyundai is a Daimler Chrystler car, same as Mitsubishi) and then i got to thinking, maybe a Kia. I'm pretty sure Kia is a sister company of Hyundai, so my thinking is, if I find a Kia with a 1.8 manual tranny, it might be possible to swap in a 4g63 turbo into it, Kias are pretty small and light... Just wondered if anyone knew better than I about this. Any other ideas for the ultimate sleeper would be great.

Re: looking for the ultimate sleeper

Why dont u just get a 1g eclipse/talon mod the hell out of it. They are not the prettyest of cars but can create some crazy numbers on the dyno. Or the mitsu mighty max truck u can swap a 4g63 into that.. talk about sleeper!

Just buy a ford fiesta (shogun), it was produced in limited numbers. It is called the shogun, it is a ford fiesta with a taurus sho motor pumping out of 200 horses. The car was 12 sec. stock. I am sure you could build one of those, I think only 3 were made.

Re: looking for the ultimate sleeper

If you are thinking serious sleeper style go with an old hyundai Excel, swap in a 4g63t from a 1g eclipse and there you go. Or get a 3rd or 4th gen mirage and swap in the same 4g63t engine.

How bout a starion. There are a lot of mods for those, very quick cars, already turboed, just put a bigger one on.

Definately an older elantra... currently putting a 4g63t into a 92 elantra with no crazy mods to the exterior of the car for the ultimate sleeper.

Re: looking for the ultimate sleeper

Mirage can take a 4G63T pretty easy or buy a CRAP 1g eclipse w/ busted bumper, dented in sides, screwed up front, lights that aren't even in the front, and put a huge drag spoiler on it, people will laugh until all they can see is your taillights Mirage's are not ever and will probably never be known for going fast, then if you wantto make it look better later, you can make it look like a Evo 5 w/ a kit just my 2 cents
other possible cars

Dodge Daytona Iroc 92-93 222hp stock
Dodge omni GLH and GLHS (Goes Like Hell and Goes Like Hell S'more)
CRX w/ B16 or B18 or K20 or cram in an H22 (it has been done)
Boosted Fiesta
Ford Taurus Sho 89 (dohc 3.0l fuel injected 220hp and comparable torque i got an 89 so i thought about this one til i got the car in the sig)
97 Eclipse RS (swap in 4G63T but it has to LOOK exactly like an RS)
Dodge Caravan (seen one run 12's and have the vid to prove it burning a Z28 Camaro)

my 4 cents :P

Dodge colt vista with a 4g63tn swap. Thats a sleeper. light weight and unexpected. and with a little lightnining of the car you can run in the 10s. The colt vista is an all wheel drive. so your launch becomes a masacre of the oponent and with a boost controler, injectors and a afc you are looking at running around 300 hp, IN A POPCAN WEIGHT CAR!!!!!!!!!
