Replacing Transmission
Anyone know about how much its going to cost to replace a manual transmission in a 92 Miata with new, used, or rebuild of tranny? Also is it possible to replace the 5-speed with a 6-speed like the newer Miatas have. I know the 92 has only the 1.6L engine, but putting in a sixth gear would help a lot with all the interstate travel. Going 70 has the engine running close to 3500 RPMS and 75 at 4000 RPMS, would like to bring those down a bit.
