Engines dressing?

Could somebody share tips and hints for custom engine dressing (adding plug wires, hoses, etc for more natural look)

The engine wiring is fairly easy to to.
I have a small drill that i use to drill the dissy cap. Cant remember the size but it has to be small enough to get the 8 holes in the top of the dissy cap. The heads on the engine you drill as well were the plug goes.
You then wire the engine the same as a normal engine. The wires are glued in by super glue. You just mold them to where ever you want to run them.
The fuel line i use a clear tubing that Tamiya supply in there bike kits and superglue it to the inlet of the carbs.
I use the same wiring but different colours to run to the starter motor/battery and the Alt.
Once again just drill the hole, poke the wire in.
The wiring i get from my local model shop. Comes in a red/black/green/blue or yellow.
It has a very very thin piece of copper that helps to shape the wire.
In most show cars 99% of the wiring is hiden to give a nice clean look, so you dont have to do to much

but how to simulate crimped and rubber hoses?

My model shop here used to sell*Dress up Kits* for engines that had all that kind of stuff in them. I'm not sure if they still do them as i have not seen one for a long time. I'll see if i can find out a bit more info for you.

Sorry what is "heatshrink"?

So can I take small spring from the pen and lead it thru
small rubber hose and get such results?

Heathshrink is a tube of a certain diameter, which when exposed to heat from a hair dryer, shrinks!
You use it in electronics. Get it from a model race car shop or electrical suppliers! Comes in lovely colours!

I know they (and others) make 8-plug distibutors, but do they also make 6- and 4-plug sets, too?

but no Norm does not make 4 or 6 cylinder distributer caps
