Angry whew another 95 GS Q....Idle+EGR prob

Alright, my idle has really been crazy, heres some stuff about it!(95 GS, manual trans)

1. My car never starts up right to 1000 or so RPM, i have to gas it for awhile, or rev it up then it will start to idle at normal. If i just turn the key it revs to 1g then dies.

2. While driving around everything seems ok.. (today it was 20 degrees F) But when i pull up to a stopsign and i have the clutch in, the car decides to idle at 3000-4000 RPM and its really annoying. I put it in first gear like normal, and it wants to accelerate right up to 3000-4000, and say i shift at 3500, the RPMs dip to say 2500 then right back up to 3500 or so.

3. My check engine light is on, and i can get access to a programmable computer check so i ran that, it said the problem was my EGR valve. I then replaced the valve, and the light went off. Everything seemed alright untill awhile ago when the check engine light came back on and my car went back to idling bad.

SUMMARY: the car is idling bad at, and when i drive it shoots up to 3000-4000 RPM... I replaced the EGR valve, and the next day the check engine light came on again and it started its bad idling..

your EGR valve could have been defective... or bad already, its rare but possible, or you could check one more possibility...

Take some starting fluid and spray little bursts of it around the intake manifold, like where it meets the head and by the trottle boddy, if the engine revs up at all when you did this you have a air leak in the manifold or its not tight to the head, also check all your vacuume hoses for cracks and broken hoses, that could make it very possible for the engine to idle differently... hope that helps, i'm sure someone will be along soon and will be able to give you a better solution but thats all i can think of right now! good luck
