major problems

hi there all happy hollween i have a few questions hope you all can help i have an 85 s 10 blazer 4x4 2.8 i keep getting check engine light on i replaced the oxegen sen. still on and when im stoped and start to go in mid take off speed on the pedal it wants to hesitate unless i floor it then it goes ok plus the shifting in overdrive when im on the freeway if i give it anygas at all it wants to down shift to drive then i have to let off the gas alot to get to go back into overdrive then i loose my speed and have to give it alot of pedal to get back up to speed it a battle to keep up speed in over drive it makes the engine run warm almost to warm so its gutless unless i want to over heat it wich i dont want of course. it also has a tendice to die on me like after a long drive like last night got off the freeway slowing down to stop the engine died it took like 20 min before it would start again then it ran ok to home. ive put in new trany and replaced the heads i had one burnt valve. so i put in new heads i think i should have put new lifters in would that help power i think the lifters are real weak. i will be very greatful for any help i can get thanks!!!!!!!

Re: major problems

Sounds lik it may be fuel related. Have you replaced the filters? Posibly the over drive needs to be adjusted. (lose nuts/connectors can cause slippage in the OD linkage. By the way I don't suppose you coul tell me what the Torq is on the headbolts for a blazer 1989 1500 5.7 TBI? Cant read through the stains in my manual.
