powersteering fluid overfill

i went crazy with the car and refilled every possible fluid.
i shoulda did more research before rather than after doing this.
i found out there's such a thing as putting too much.
something about the hoses popping on the power steering... what do i have to do if i did overfill?

Re: powersteering fluid overfill

your not going to like this. Get a plastic straw, the longer the better. Make sure no plastic shavings on the straw are going to fall off. put the straw in the resevoir, and suck gently, not enough to put the fluid in your mouth, but enough in the straw itself, remove the straw with a bit of fluid in it, and empty it into a container, repeat until at the specified level, and make sure you dont drink any!

Why do that when you can go to the dollar store and buy a gravy siphoner. I use this to change the oil in the power steering. If you don't know what it looks like, I can e-mail you a pic.

so i bought a turkey baster. and matched the level.. i think... i wasn't too sure, it was very warm today even with a cold engine.
so i just left the level somewhere between cold and hot haha

when i turn the wheels all the way, it still makes the banging/air leaking sounds. so i don't think those problems were caused by the fluid level to begin with

GOOOO turkey baster!!
