Okay guys, let's talk about the rides that have made us all go "hell yeah" when we've seen them. Doubtless we've all leafed through the popular gearhead magazines (Hot Rod, Sport Compact Car, Car Craft, Grassroots Motorsports, etc..) and we've all seen cars that've just made us go "Too SWEET" and such.

Well, let's start naming names and showing pictures of some of those rides.

I'll start my list with Jack Chisenhall's 1953 Studebaker.

The cool thing about this streetable beast (even ran the whole 1996 Power Tour without a hitch) is that it's the world's fastest air conditioned car. It ran an average at Bonneville of 219mph with a one-way confirmed trap speed of 241mph. A 708ci Chevy big-block made that possible.

Second is Grassroots Motorsports Magazine's Ro-Spit project car. The concept is just too stellar. Let's take a classic British sportscar weighing stock 1500lbs, once powered by an 1100cc OHV four putting out 57bhp, and drop in a fire-breathing ported Mazda 13B rotary making about 225bhp.

Dig the classic 3piece Panasport wheels.

Finally is my cousin Barry Penfound's 1959 Buick LeSabre "Lo-Sabre". It may not be the best performer out there. He even replaced the previous owner's Chevy 350 swap with an original Buick Nailhead just for style's sake. But between the Air-Ride suspension and the bitchin' Kicker sound system one couldn't care less. It's just a lot of fun to ride around in.

I like Glenn grozich's 1962 "Chicayne" thats featured a lot on magazines the past few months.

Shes a 62 Biscayne with a 400 some cubic inch small block thats twin turbo'ed to 1200 hp and lb/ft of torque!! 22's, and yada yada yada.. just plain incredible. Very streetable too, considering it finished the Power Tour this year..
