Is all D-Series Shift Linkage the Same?

Does anyone know if all D-Series shift linkage is the same from generation to generation (can I use a 5g Civic's linkage in a 4g chasis?)? Doing an auto to manual swap and linkage is the last thing I need. I think I am going to make a how-to since so many people seem to want to know how to do the conversion.

i have never touched a 5th gen tranny. i do believe those are hydro...so i don't think they would be the same.

if you do a how-to, let me know. we were going to do that on hooptie and make a write up for the site...but ended up selling the car. so it never happened

They look the same side by side, but I didnt break out the measuring tape.

I have about three sets of 4th gen linkage if you need one.

No...You cannot use a 5th gen shift linkage with your 4th gen tranny. The fifth gen shift linkage is like 2 or 3 inches longer.
