Angry Drag link install

1971 El Camino, recently installed drag link. It rubs on the crossmember under the motor. Anyone got any diagrams or pics of engine bay with engine out? I think I put it in backwards...(damn!)

Or.... the people that pressed the ball joints into the link did them on the wrong side.

Thanks for any help

Chad

Re: Drag link install

I don't think you can put it in backwards...the steering wouldn't line up. Is it the correct drag link? Maybe the frame could be bent/twisted? Try looking for signs of the car being in an accident...straightened metal, bolt-holes that don't really line up, etc. Good Luck
