Question on Amp???

I have a Alpine V12 amp and im wondering id their is a way to adjust the level of bass or power imput to the subs? Cuz i have 3 mtx blue thunders and it doesnt seem to be hittin hard enough, well i just bought em and havent really had any time to bump it to YOUNGBLOODZ yet. all i did was bump it to liek rock but it doesnt seem to be hitten hard enough. ive got some pos rampage stereo and it doesnt even have a control for bass (or at least i dont think...) is it just me or is the amp not big enough or is not the right music or what?????

Ahhh... Rampage huh? Thats your problem. When you are buidling a system, the thing that you always get first is a NICE head unit. Having a system without a head unit, no matter how nice the subs, amps, ect may be, they are not ever going to perform to their potential unless you have something nice telling then what to do. You have the alpine amp, I would go with a nice Alpine HU, dont go the cheap way, like I did, TWICE, its just an even more waste of money in the long run. A nice HU will give you seperate Subwoofer controlls right on the HU, thats where you do most your tweeking.

You also want to make sure that they are wired correctly, If all you are interested in is bass, then you want to wire them so they have the lowest Impedance that the Amp can handle, Is it stable down to 2 or 1 ohms? Are the Subs DVC? The way they are wired makes alot of difference.
I can Vouch for the HU situation, As soon as I got "Better than stock" speakers I upgraded my head unit, Don't go cheap. I bought a Sony ES MDX 8500??? or something to that effect for a about 350 on sale a few years back when it first came out, and not to mention that I still have a warranty, Its a great thing to have equalizers and good sound quality. You can tell the difference if you've got a good enough system to matter (which it sounds like you do). Alpine is a good HU also, I'm just kind of loyal to sony if they've got something in my range.
