Turbo

I want to turbo my Accord. I have a 1995 Accord 4 Cyl. EX Standard. I have an intake, plug wires, and headers. I am about to upgrade the fuel system. I really want to see if I can find a decent turbo that will not blow the hell out of my engine. It has 117k miles. Is this suicide for my car or can it take it? If it is going to be able to stand it, even from a low psi Turbo, what am I going to need to do for it to work safely, and how cheap can I get a turbo that will not crap up?

I'd say engine swap

Sounds like your engine's not about to fall apart but it's not young either, I'd go with a swap if I were you. Either an f20b or an h22a. Then think down the road, you ever wanna put a turbo on one of those and you're flying.

Here's one of the few kits I've seen for an Accord: http://www.modacar.com/products/Honda/Accord/MODAFOIN

The F22's aren't the greatest of all honda motors to turbo, and since you have 117k miles then it might be a good idea to go to forged pistons, rods, and crankshaft. In total you'd probably spend the same amount as a swap if you did the labor yourself.

Re: Turbo

your car is not to old. i hav ea 1996 honda accord ex standard, with AEM CAI, helix throttle body spacer, and a Drag Generation t3/t4 turbonetics tubo kit. my car has 104k miles on it. It is fine. i also have a tanabe super racing medalion exhaust and let me tell you......with that 2.5" downpipe, DAMN! it is so loud. i say do it, but sawping a h22a engine is also good. 190 hp stock. i dont think a f20 (s2000 engine) will fit in an accord. though i could be wrong. well i hope i helped.

Don't know about the F20C (s2000) fitting in the accord, but the F20B (Euro Accord Type-R) will fit just fine. Difference of 20hp less than the F20C I think, but still a powerfull 200hp engine.
