Hi im building a 2000 Civic SI coupe. Has the Stock B16A2 engine with nothing done to the interals. This kit runs 8 psi base i guess and it can be turned up? But i was wondering how far i can safely turn it up so that i dont throw a rod or what not. Also i was wondering about comments about the turbonetics turbo what people think and what problems there are. Thanks.

Re: Turbonetics Turbo Q!

dont not boost past 8psi they set it there for a reason, it will be unsafe to boost it over 8psi you can risk blowing you motor.. so keep it low . i think with a head gasket you cna run9-10psi saftly..

Re: Re: Turbonetics Turbo Q!

Yes I've read about that package and its set at 8-9psi for that reason. Do not run any higher unless you want a blown head gasket, which could lead your car to losing a lot of oil and than having the engine freeze. which than you'll have to take apart the whole block and take out everything. People are so interested in running such high boost but 8-9psi will give you a nice feel and power increase over stock. Plus also running higher boost on top of those non-forged pistons and rings..... not the best of ideas. Go all motor!!!! you'll like it! I do.
