305 to 350 engine swap!
Thanks in advance for any replies. I own a 1982 Chevy C10 pickup with a 305 V8 in it with an automatic 3 speed overdrive. I am wanting to put a 350 in it with TBI or some kind of fuel injection. Basically a newer style setup instead of carburated. I have been looking for info on this subject and ended up here on this forum. If anyone can please help as to what all this entails, like motor mounts, ingition and what this will take to accomplish? It would be much appreciated.

The 350 should mount to your existing 305 motor mounts. I wouldn't waste the time/money/effort on TBI unless some silly inspection/smog situation requires it.
I'd pull the 305, drop in a 350 and try to figure out how to keep your existing carb - that way the inspection people won't give you dirty looks.. they wouldn't have any idea you've been under there messing with it. -Steve |

I agree that the 350 will fit right in. But that doesn't mean that you shouldn't change the motor mounts while you can. As for fuel injection edelbrock and holley make nice kits to convert your truck to fuel injected. They are very nice and should be all you need to convert it. you should be able to find stuff on the internet for swaps or in the library or book store. Good Luck
