Security light 2001 Z71
Does any one know how to check security light issue, mine come on the other day, I could not sart truck, the keyless entry works I had to wait like 20 min to start, now when I start truck after I drive for a while it comes on and stays on until I shut truck off, is there any way to check with out going to the stealership, thanks

I usually don't respond to posts that bash dealers but you caught me on a good day.
There is a GM technical bulletin on your complaint. I have repaired many security issues per this bulletin with great success.

The bulletin #01-08-56-002A
It references problems with the terminal fit of the connector at the base of the steering column.
