New to group

Just finished the Studio 27 TF102, the Formula One Toyota of Alan McNish from 2002.

I made tire warmers from an old pair of Nike warmup pants and some foil tape...and a wing cover was added using a similar method.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks for the positive feedback!!

I used a shadow box that has since been stained and now looks much better, new pictures will come soon.

The rumble strips and track were created in Photoshop.
The track was printed and mounted, then to add some dimension to the track a set of rumble strips were printed on card stock. These were cut, angled and elevated slightly (this also give the Montoya car the correct look for riding on the rumble strips).

I still have the files if anyone wants them, but, they are very easy to make!

Re: New to group

A very warm welcome from me! You build very impressive models and from what I've seen, cut no corners! I'd love to see more.

Creative detailing, an obscure kit, and a unique subject all nab you points in my book. It's really a great build-up.
