Arrow Turbocharged s2000

I have a friend with a s2000, its an awsome looking car but it lacks power. he has lighted pullies, intake, 5Z exhast, full bodyit (hood, finders, side skirts, wing, front and rear bumpers. all fiberglass) to take care of the power (or lack thereof lol) we were thinking of going supercharged. but every S is superchaged. so came the idea to go turbo. there has been one other turbo S but i don't know how good it did.

we were thinking of going with a custom equal langth tubeular header, Garrett GT30R turbo, crower rods, je pistons with compression of 9:1 or so, a FMIC with spec's of 2 1/2in thik 20in long 11in tall with a 2 1/2in inlet and 2in outlet (for better throttle response) and custom IC piping, a vortec FMU, and some other custom goodies. oh and about low bost of 8 psi and a high boost of about 19-20 psi on pump gas.

if there is anything u think i might have forgot then plz tell me

thx!

skyonis that conquest is awesome, i used to have a 88 tsi and it was my favorite car ive ever had. im thinking of getting another one but they are hard to find on the east coast. i was thinking of getting one in cali or somewhere on the west coast and shipping it here to florida. do you by any chance know how much shipping might cost. and do you know of any nice ones for sale. p.s. what do they run in the 1/4 stock. and what will yours run after your done. www.eiptuning.com had a video of a 10 sec street starion it was bad ass but i cant find the video anymore but they still have some cool aftermarket parts if your looking. thanks. sorry for all the questions.

lol sorry i was only listing the bigger things on our list, but for the wastgate the stock internal should do it but if not then it will have to be a tial 35mm or so, for the bov its going to be blitz dual dirve, about the vaccuum and oil lines there no problem.

and abuout more turboed s2000's i really don't know yet but i'm thinking its because of the placement of the motor, see were the turbo manifold would be there is no room for a turbo so u have to make one hell of a manifold to put the turbo were the supercharger sits about. so i think thats y most ppl go super.

here is a few more things to add to the list, 550cc rc injector, walbro fuel pump (don't know what size yet), looking for a good fuel rail (know of any?) and some other small AEM fuel goodies.

thx, ya they are awsome cars. well if u do get one in the west coast then don't get one in cali, this is b/c there are too many "smog" laws over here. so the cars have a little less power. i really don't know of any good ones but you can go to www.starquestclub.com and look on the for "sale part" of the forum. lol even tho it is my car i don't know the stock 1/4 lol and what mine will run well don't know that yet ether hoping something like low 12's with about 350-400hp (they are very heavy cars about 4087lbs. ) so a power to wight ratio of 1:10 (hp:lbs.) isn't that great. i'm thinking of stripping alot of stuff out and going with a nice big roll cage.

but if you can try to get the 88-89 they are the best years!

With the setup you have planned, here's what you should do with your motor to acheive the same results: Pull the motor from the car, throw it in the garbage, and pour a buch of oil around your engine bay to get the same effect. You are going to do nothing but annihlate your motor trying to run 9 pounds of boost with an FMU, no matter what other mods you have.

Thats funny but he is right, you really need some real kind of EMS. Hondata, AEM, Greddy, etc. That is a sweet ride though, my uncle has a Starion he works on as a project (which is where I got my first intercooler from). They are not that hard to come by on the east coast as project cars, look in auto trader. It is just difficult to find one already in good running condtion. Just like I wanted to pick up on older rx-7 turbo, but I can't find any in decent condition even for a project.
